 I have been around the disabled community for the past 28 years, due to my daughter having Intellectually Disability from birth. I have participated with my daughter in her Special Ed school, Special Olympics and many other social events. I have worked in the sign trade for about 20 years. From being a plastic manufacturer, neon bending to a purchasing agent. It was a great career. In 2006 I had to change jobs and retrain. So with my daughters disability I came across a training to be a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. I worked over 12 years in the Lake Stevens School district, with a lot of the kids that were disabled and using Assistive Technology to help with their speech difficulties. I am presently retired and working on this project as my next challenge in life to help my daughter succeed in her life. I have no experience in developing a non profit or building a complex. Sometimes not having that background allows you to circumvent challenges, but i do have the will and the time.
